We stayed for two weeks at this secluded holiday home in Sweden, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The house is situated on a beautiful lakeside property, offering complete peace and tranquility. If you're looking to disconnect and relax, this is the perfect spot. The house itself is very spacious, comfortable, and offers excellent value for money.
Fishing is fantastic here, and nature lovers will truly appreciate the idyllic surroundings. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would love to return and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in nature!

I had trouble finding a place which was big enough to accommodate our large party of three families with 20 people, a baby and a toddler.
Roy was very accommodating and even though the villa is listed as sleeping 18, it also has two extra beds, a crib and a cot and two child seats.
The upstairs kitchen/dining room was very well equipped, super clean and allowed us all to eat together with a magnificent view over the lake.
We even saw the Northern Lights!!!!!
The villa was very good value for money for our large party and we would definitely come back here again.
The beds were comfortable and the house is very large.
It suited us perfectly as it is split into three flats and we were able to separate when we wanted to have private time as separate families and come together as a large party to eat.
There is a bathing place with as sandy beach and mowed grassthrough a sweet little path in the forest which is only a few minutes walk (turn left at the treehouse through a short path through the forest.)
This was perfect for the children to swim and play as there is a sandy beach, a mowed lawn and the water is very shallow for quite a long way out.
There is also the possibility to swim directly from the deck at the end of the garden, where the rowing boat and kayaks are.
Smedens Stugby offers a stay just a few minutes’ walk away from the Smedjebacken Train Station. Romme Alpin ski area is 33 km from Smedens Stugby, while Ludvika is 14 km away.

Nice house in a very good location only halve an hour drive from the resort.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
The hotel was very cozy and cute, very nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable. Service during the booking and at the hotel was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was tasty and of a high quality.
The hotel is very close to the train station, 5 minutes on foot. The hotel is in the town center and there are several restaurants a few minutes away. There is also a parking space nearby. The breakfast buffet was very good. I liked the decoration, it was cozy and tasteful.
The "recent" renovations have changed this hotel from so-so to superb, I hadn't been here for many years.
Weekend staff were all smiles, professional and friendly.
Breakfast was great and served in a very cozy setting.
It was a memorable experience and it far exceeded my expectations; cosy rooms, excellent breakfast and very helpful staff. They take special care of their guests and I especially liked that they put me in a room with pictures of my homeland.
