We loved this accommodation and the whole town - what a unique experience! Short walk to the castle at top of the hill. Great little bar for a drink nearby and lovely meal at a small restaurant serving typical Portuguese food.

Lovely original cottage in the heart of Sortelha overlooking the castle.
Do not expect new renovated modern.
It is a pleasant step back to comfortable simple living.
Loved being able to sit outside and enjoy the view.
Loved the breakfast provided. Simple but completely adequate.
Would highly recommend.
We absolutely loved the cozy feeling of the property. The location was perfect as well - nestled in the mountains but still within a short driving distance from Sortelha and Sabugal. There are also many other charming villages in the area that are definitely worth a visit!
The charming apartment. I loved the flowers on the door and personal note. Filled with snacks and drinks to use. Reminded us of our stone cabin in the Sierra Nevadas, California.
The location and view are exceptional. A very comfortable cozy little place that made us feel we had gone back in time. We wanted to stay longer! The visit to the castle (within walking distance) was delightful! We highly recommend this accommodation and would book here again!
The stone cottage has two bedrooms but the living room, satisfactory for two, would have been cramped for four. The place was clean, bedroom comfortable and well equipped for cooking. Breakfast was available a few steps away in the hostess’ house. Freshly prepared with good home made cakes and jam.
Sortelha is a beautiful village in a very interesting region.
A photographers paradise.
The cottage is cute. There was a lot of food provided in the fridge and you eat it free of charge. Fresh bread was delivered in the morning.
It was a good experience.
We stayed in the two bedroom stone cottage which was such a unique experience. It was very comfortable and clean with the inside furnishings very much in character with the cottage. There is a stove to cook on (but no oven). It is a very short walk to the castle with another tiny but very beautiful village (I think set up for tourism) inside the castle walls. There is an ATM and restaurant/s inside the castle walls as well. You can also drive all the way up to the castle and park. We loved our stay at this property.
Location is just great! ! A very cute stone cottage 10 minutes walk from the superb castle and the old town, and right on a hiking trail (2:15 minutes loop). Breakfast is more than plentiful (fridge is full of cheeses, hams, yogurts), our host even provided eggs for us. We didn't meet Ana, but access to the property was very easy, parking nearby by the ATM cash machine.
Excellent meals -if you like lamb, go for the ensopado, the best I had in Portugal so far!-,at the restaurant next door.
