Location is excellent: view of Portimao, the sea, the Algarve Autodrome and the estrada de Foia. Which is the route for the 2nd stage of the Volta ao Algarve cycle race, and there are a constant stream of cyclists throughout the year.
There are two nice restaurantes within 100 metres, Both have terraces with the same view. The Paraiso [closed Thursdays] has a log fire in winter and has fresh fruit for desert - if you ask.
Fantastic area for butterflies - eg a swallowtail flew over the patio!
Excellent area for night sky - clear view of the Milky Way.
Covered outdoor dining area and barbeque. Unsuitable for wheelchair users.
Good parking, with room to do three point turn.

The owner was welcoming and was very responsive to messages.The house was beautifully renovated, with lots of original features but also all the modern features we needed. Great shower, lots of charging sockets, really effective air conditioning in all the rooms, and a large modern television. There was also another television in one of the bedrooms. The outside kitchen and dining area were perfect for relaxed evenings. The location of the house was within easy walking distance from the train station. We didn't hire a car during our stay, so used the train to travel to nearby lagos on one of the days. The beaches are walkable, but were too far for us to walk in the heat. The buses were regular, and the beaches were easily accessible by bus. The river was just at the bottom of the road. There were several outdoor eating places there, and it was a nice place to stroll in the evening. It was a short walk along the waterfront to the museum where we caught the water taxi across to Ferragudo. (I would definitely recommend visiting Ferragudo. It is a very pretty village with some nice eating places and beaches). There are also lots of boat trips to other destinations, including the benagil caves, leaving from the waterfront near to the museum.

This little house is stunning and Sally is an amazing host. Sally even picked me up at the airport! Thank you Sally! I loved the terrace in the morning. The bed was very comfortable. The Wi-Fi is very stable. The kitchen and the bathroom are well equipped. Sally even left me a little breakfast for the next morning in the fridge and a welcome wine. Wow. I had a great time. Sally is very carrying and thought about every detail. There is all you need.

We really loved staying at Nova Alofa, Loes and Mario are very nice and welcoming.
We stayed at the caravan and it was cozy and quiet, a place to relax and enjoy the nature.
We'll surely come back when in Portugal.

With the exception of 2 middle aged men who didnt acknowledge us at any point, all staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.(particularly the girls on reception😁)
The property was surrounded by beautiful countryside and walking trails.
The gardens of the property were beautiful and the hot tub area was a bonus!
Everything, starting from the location of the house, the house itself and the hosts, Bernardo and his sister. Although our trip was at the beginning of December, the ambient of the house was perfect and very cozy. During the day we enjoyed the sun, when it was present :), at night we would light up the fireplace for warmth. Bernardo's place made us feel at home.
The cottage is very charming. Though the bedroom is small, there is ample space & a lovely terrace with great views. Everything was very clean & you can start hiking from your doorstep. The host, Maria, is very kind & helpful. I had a great time!
the house is very cosy and every detail is taken care of! the kitchen is fully equipped and everything is extra clean.
the highlight is of course the fireplace, which we found ready to be lit thanks to the great host.
A beautiful countryside setting with fruit trees and a very lovely garden. We were provided with our own lawn table and chairs and lounging area. Very peaceful. The room was charming and very comfortable.
Very cosy cottage with everything you need. A warm welcome with a nice bottle of red wine and self baked cookies!
