Everything about the house and our stay at Casa do Rio was perfect. Each of the rooms are big and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and the outside area and the view was more than we expected. The communication with the host was easy and friendly, and check in and check out was seamless. We 100% recommend and we will visit again!

The perfect escape from routine. Sheltered between the woods and the river you will completely forget about your busy life and be immersed in the slow pace of the Portuguese countryside. Ideal for contemplating the boats slowly drive by. The property is quite estense, we weren't sure where it starts or ends, as the house is completely surrounded by the woods and gardens.there are different nooks and spaces within the property to explore, walk through, swim, sit and contemplate. The house has been renovated very beautifully with an ample and sunny deck and all the necessary amenities. Each window offers a unique view onto the landscape, making them memorable and picturesque. Waking up to chirping birds, sunny views and friendly cats will be forever in our memories.
