We were Self Catering but the complimentary eggs from the owners free range chickens were very much appreciated. We were invited to join them for a typical Portuguese meal on two occasions. We were made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The location was beautiful and at night you could hear nothing except the frogs in the pond. If you a looking for solitude to enjoy the sun and a pool then this is the place.

Paula and her dogs are lovely hosts. The guesthouse is very charming, due to it's unique decoration. The guesthouse was very clean, the kitchen well equipped and the little terrace offered a great view of the surrounding landscape.

Very hospitable, the owner even gave us some food on our arrival that she had cooked herself and we all found it amazing. She was very accepting of our Daughters who both have additional needs and treated them with kindness and respect. The breakfast was amazing, the smoothie out of this world and it was in a local bakery that had the most fabulous cakes and biscuits for sale. The pool was lovely and very private and all the animals around the Quinta were lovely too see and hear, goats milk was delicious.

Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Charming property in a splendid location. Room 4 was quiet despite being not far off the road and close to the restaurant. It was warm and cozy even on a frosty January night. You know the food will be good when the locals eat there and the on-site restaurant was no exception. No worries about drink and driving! The restaurant was decorated with wonderful paintings by Sandra herself. What a talent!
I have already booked again for my next trip. Hopefully I can persuade Sandra to sell me a painting or two!
