A beautiful location "Casa da Urra" is an agricultural estate: specializing in wine production, cattle raising and rural tourism. A very peaceful location with stunning views of the vineyards and the city of Portalegre.

It’s family run business. They have old vineyards to take care off and are doing great job. I would definitely recommend tasting/buying their wines, they are quite differrent from mainstream. Hotel is ņiva, spacious rooms, balcony. Good breakfast. But it’s all about family and their story, that’s what makes difference

Marvao and our accomodation was a highlight so far on our 17 day road trip of Portugal.
The apartment was authentic and very comfortable, bed was super comfortable with lots of warm doonas, the bathroom was clean with great hot water.
We were the only guests for the night, kitchen facilities downstairs and a lounge. We ate out but did use the fridge. Coffee machine and our own cereal breakfast made a great start to the morning.
Host, Maria, was very welcoming and explained things well.
A great stay within the city walls and an easy walk to the castle.
Recommend this place for an overnight stay.

We arrived at Casa do Vale for one night, mainly to see the forts in the nearby town. This is a rural and isolated accommodation complex, very quiet, clean and well-kept, the owner of the property helped us a lot to find the place, the rooms were beautiful and well-decorated. The complex has a pool, but it was too cold to go in and the valley where the complex is located is simply picturesque and stunning. warmly recommended.
Situated in the slopes of Serra de São Mamede Natural Park, 11km from Portalegre, Vigias -Eternal Landscapes offers an outdoor pool and panoramic views over the Alentejo landscape.

All appeared to be very new and good quality. Very comfortable bed, very good breakfast. Very beautiful balcony and surroundings. Extremely kind hosts, very supportive and helpful and available with anything. Ideal place to visit all the area (car most likely needed though). Much better than what we expected based on the pictures of the web! Thanks for everything!
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
This charming property has undergone many restorations and renovations since the 13th century, but still provides all the amenities that a modern tourist demands. The bedroom and bathroom are spacious and spotless. Parking on the grounds is convenient and secure. Breakfast is excellent.
The house was amazing. Six suites, extremely comfortable in the winter. Heat and an amazing fireplace. We travelled with kids and they had an amazing time in first floor playing ping pong. The house is big and can easily accommodate groups. Totally recommend it. There is also a very appealing pool outside for summer stays.
Cozy home. we spent one night. very comfortable bed, clean linens, spatious room, big bathroom. The owner is very kond, she recommended a nice restaurant close by and we had a delicious dinner. all together a very pleasant stay.
Cosy and very well equipped house with all that you need for a comfortable short or long stay. We liked the comfort of the beds and the nice decoration. Close by you can buy fresh baked bread in the mornings and in the village all what you need. Next time we will go on summer so we can enjoy the nearby pool
