Very relaxing and although it doesn’t have a pool yet the river is close and is a great swimming spot. The garden is lush and colourful and a great place to relax particularly in the evening. Carla and Paulo work really hard to make sure that everything is just perfect for your stay and nothing is too much for them. We spent five weeks here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Part of that time we had our 3 grandchildren aged between four and 11 staying with us. The river swimming for kids of that age is even better than a swimming pool and we have spent hours relaxing on the beach next to the river to then return to lush green garden and a barbecue.

The property is on the outskirts of Aveiro and not really close to the city. This didn’t bother us as we had a car, but it would probably be difficult without one. We liked the off road parking and as there were only 2 of us staying the accommodation was very generous. The only issue we had was light coming into the main bedroom and we didn’t realise until morning there were shutters. We improvised by using a blanket. The bed was comfortable in the room we used and the apartment was well equipped. The host recommended a restaurant about 5-10 minutes drive away which she booked for us. It was a great restaurant with traditional food. The apartment is self contained.

A recently renovated property, Casa Clara is located in Aveiro near Congressional Center of Aveiro, University of Aveiro and São Gonçalinho Chapel.

The hospitality of the owner is on the top level. When you arrive at the Mill, you feel like you arrived in a fairy tale. It feels like you are out of civilization, as it is only the Mill and nothing around you. The photos cannot describe the house, really magical. Every cm of the house is very clean and well maintained. We are a family of 4 and it was more than enough space for us, we didn't even use one of the bedrooms. The sunset views are spectacular. We enjoyed our short stay a lot, we would love to be back there :) thanks to Antonio a lot for the wonderful hospitality and this unique experience!

This place positively surprised us. We did not expect such comfortable conditions in such a place. The owner turned out to be very nice. The house is fully equipped, there is even a jacuzzi! The furniture is comfortable and high quality. Everything is modern and well designed.
