We recently had an unforgettable stay at John's bungalow in Raiatea, French Polynesia, and we cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, John and his family took exceptional care of us, making our honeymoon truly special.
The bungalow itself is a charming, traditional structure with a fantastic terrace that offers stunning views of the ocean. Every morning, we woke up to breathtaking vistas and the soothing sounds of the sea, which made our stay incredibly relaxing.
John's hospitality was outstanding. He ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. His mother was especially sweet, going above and beyond by giving us thoughtful gifts to celebrate our honeymoon.

We loved everything about our experience and stay with Isabella and Edward. They are wonderful hosts and their property is clean and in a fabulous location. You will need a car to travel to them. You should hire a car anyway to see the entire island, its gorgeous. We enjoyed conversing with the other guests during our stay and the breakfast of bread and fresh fruit was delightful. We highly recommend staying at La Maison Du Voyage and look forward to going back!

Beautiful location with fabulous seaview with the possibillity to watch Mantarays close up just in front of the pension. The really nice studio is very well equipped and tastefully decorated. Tahitea is owned by the most amazing host couple, very helpfull and always at your service for almost anything. We had a car rental delivered to the pension they booked our boat and Island tour. We went on the beautiful river with the free kayaks. A trip we can highly recommend.

Sophie (Sof) and Patrice’s (Pat) aka Sofpat fare was more than we could have hoped for. It looked in real life just the same as the pictures in their advert. It was clean, well equiped with everything we required. The fare was private, it was easy to access. The location to town was perfect. To be fortunate enough to have access to a great pool really worked for us and to have our own car to use the whole time we were there was the icing on the cake.
As much as everything I have written was superb I really would like to write also that over and above how the fare was and equiped it was the engagement, the hosting, the caring from Sophie, Patrice, Agnes, Mahealani, and Hinenui that my wife and I will most remember. Right from our arrival at the airport and to be greeted by Mahealani and Hinenui these two strong and beautiful Mao’hi women who picked us up, then to meet the matriarch of their family Mama Agnes who brought us a freshly prepared breakfast each morning that was more than my wife and I could eat. We were lucky to meet Sophie and Patrice the day before we left Raiatea and although our time with them was brief, both were the utmost of hosts to us. My wife and I have already decided to return in June 2026 (at the latest) and we’ll only be staying with Sophie, Patrice and their extended family. We’ll start french language lessons as soon as we arrive back to Aotearoa (New Zealand).

Really nice little bungalow, had everything you need to make food. The Wifi was fast and reliable, the bathroom was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable making it easy to be well rested for you to explore the island. There is a fan in the room which helped keep cool in the Tahitian heat. The hosts are really friendly and accommodating.
Everything has been perfect! We enjoyed everything on our stay there. The view from the top is something you cannot explain, the bungalow is really pretty , comfortable and well decorated. The host made our stay something magic! She is so helpful and she loves what she does! I would absolutely recommend this accommodation to enjoy raiatea and Taha’a
Nice bungalow in a great location, simple and very comfortable with kitchen and everything you need! The owners are lovely people! The sound of nature around is amazing, open space and very connected with nature!
Amazing location next to the airport - no need to deal with any transfers upon landing! And close enough to town that we had a free pickup for our excursion, so didn't need to rent a car (although that'd be pretty easy given it's adjacent to a car rental). Cabin even comes with a cute deck with chairs/table! The whole place was pretty updated/nice, especially the bathroom. Air conditioner was also excellent!
Our stay was great. The cabin is located in a quiet part of the island on the edge of a beautiful bay that you can swim, snorkel and kayak in. Johnny was also a great host and was very accommodating, driving us to get dinner each night and also bringing us to the market on the way from the airport. Johnny's mum was also lovely.
Great location right at the airport and so we were able to walk across with our bags on a trolley, check in and grab our rental car keys as well. Restaurant a few steps away, standalone bungalow with seaview, very spacious, free wifi, aircon and parking. It was perfect for what we needed and I loved hearing the airplanes coming and going.
