Garden and apartment were very clean and well cared for. We only stayed shortly but the apartment has all needed items to prepare food and we did not feel like we are missing anything. There is a ventilator and A/C in the bedroom.
There is a supermarket nearby, a clothes store and a couple of restaurants, but I would recommend renting a car for getting around or to the beach etc.

This is not only a fantastic property in a great location the hosts were absolutely amazing. They collected our family from the airport and dropped us off..

Room spotlessly clean and well appointed (microwave only, no hotplate) A convenient 15 minute walk from Papeete airport saves on insane taxi fares (meaning a great Happy Hour indulgence at the Intercontinental if you so wish). Another 10-15 minute walk onwards, sees you at a public beach (Vaira) and then a Carrefour, to buy supplies and ready to eat meals.

We stayed at the Hotel Kon Tiki "cabins" to save a little money and they are clean and comfortable. We used it as a place to sleep and left first thing in the morning. There are no windows - so it is not for everyone. The outdoor lounge area is a nice place to hang out and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The view from the roof top bar (sunsets) and proximity to the ferry terminal are bonuses.
Charming, clean little apartment with a fully functional kitchen and amenities. Great window looking over Papeete and comfortable seating options to hang out. A quick walk from the local Carrefour and also a 1 minute walk from central bus stops
Hime Lodge is a little green oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Papeete but yet walking distance for the famous market, the ferry terminal, the best terrace in town, 2 supermarkets, cafe and brewery. I really liked the 2 people dorms that almost feel like a private room and I loved the general atmosphere of guests getting together in the common area while having a meal cooked in the kitchen. The owner cares about the propriety and the guests and this make a big differnce.
Heiata was such a lovely host. Very kind and caring and really helped us a lot. She was just amazing.
Close to town and easy to walk to waterfront and market. All amenities were very clean and tidy.
We loved the cats that came to visit us too.
The view to the mountains was fabulous.
We highly recommend Heiata's Lodge and would stay there again.
