Superb location, and excellent value for money, given the number of beds, and facilities (e.g. two toilets, two lounge areas, shower (and separate bath suitable to bathe our toddler)). House had good heating options and plenty of bedding in case we got cold. The kitchen was suitably stocked with utensils (though we didn't eat dinner there, we saw we could have easily done so), and it had a large fridge/freezer, so it could be stocked up if needed. TV in the main lounge, with the separate lounge close to the kitchen being a good option for quiet reading. LOTS and LOTS of excellent books on the bookshelves too - which was really great, and very handy for some children's stories. A few minute's walk away from Pukekura Park too, with the local Brooklands Zoo a 5 minute drive away (if that - you can walk from Pukekura to Brooklands in around 30 minutes or so). Great hosts, who let us check in a little early for our toddler to have a nap, which we appreciated. Highly recommended property to others.

The location was beautiful. The property was easy to find. Good amenities especially for cooking for a group. Nice to have a bath. Good to have care for the environment with waste being separated. Great for a family weekend.

I have been waiting to write this review. First of all, I have to thank Joelene, she was very enthusiastic in welcoming us even though we arrived earlier than expected. In the rainy and cold weather, when entering the house, it was a very cozy and modern house. Everything was comfortable, there was everything you need for your family when living here. Our family was very satisfied, had a very happy time living here. Everything was neat, clean, and complete. In the afternoon, because it was cold, we did not eat outside but we watched the beautiful sunset. If there was a score of 20/10, I would give it to Joelene and her house. The location is also very convenient for shopping and eating.

The peace and tranquillity was just what we needed for a few days and we certainly got that and more, with friendly cows, cosy fireplace and great walks along the road beside green paddocks. The hosts were friendly and very responsive and helpful.
The owner was lovely, the cottage was clean, comfortable and modern with everything we needed. It was in a perfect countryside location with a sea view. And it was so peaceful.
The views of the river and native bush from our room were absolutely stunning. Our apartment was beautiful, cosy and the lounge suite and the bed were comfort on another level! The fireplace in our room was a great bonus on a chilly Winter evening.
The staff were helpful and friendly and we’re very much looking forward to another stay there in the near future.
Stunning views of Mt Taranaki and surrounding countryside. A very peaceful location - all you can hear are the birds and the stream that runs through the property. With no light pollution, there's an incredible view of the Milky Way at night. Gorgeous cabin, clean, warm and cosy. Our lovely hosts left breakfast, wine and chocolates.
