Lovely location with a unique character. Friendly hosts, who live next door and clear instructions. Free and convenient parking 2 minutes walk from the front door. The kitchen is well equiped.
Vollenhove is a cute little city. There is ample shopping within a five minute walk of the house. The place is excellent for exploring the wider surroundings. Zwolle is a great city at about a half hour drive. There are also lots of other nice destinations nearby, like Kampen, Urk, Lemmer, and all kinds of beautiful watery landscapes (rivers, IJsselmeer, polderlandscapes, peat extractions etc.) giving you a historic crash course in how-to-build-the-netherlands. Amsterdam is only slightly over an hour away too.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Great and cozy place to stay in a very nice town. The place was comfortable and nicely decorated and the bathroom was lovely. There was a nice living room with a kitchen with all necessary things and a full fridge with items to purchase. The breakfast is served in the room at the agreed timing, and you can have it inside or outside. Easy to park in front as its a residential neighborhood (or even inside if needed). The guests were really nice and also provided help finding some restaurants!
I loved everything in this place. Thank you for the lovely host, the cabin was cozy and clean, surrounded by an amazing view. Definitely recommend to stay here.
We had a wonderful stay! We loved the kitchenette, it had what we needed. It was an experience to sleep in the "bedstee." And so quiet!! All we heard in the morning was the cock crowing faintly. No tv to distract us from our rest...though the wifi was good. Location was out in the countryside, nice to walk the quiet country roads there. The host lady was lovely and helpful. And we ordered breakfasts for our stay. They were amazing! We would stay again in a heartbeat!
