A whole church for ourselves, magical! Beautiful ceiling, well decorated, nothing overdone, super comfy bedding, working organ, practical small kitchen and bathroom all neat, clean and modern. Lovely location with a unique character. Friendly hosts, who live next door and clear instructions. Free and convenient parking 2 minutes walk from the front door. The kitchen is well equiped.
Vollenhove is a cute little city. There is ample shopping within a five minute walk of the house. The place is excellent for exploring the wider surroundings. Zwolle is a great city at about a half hour drive. There are also lots of other nice destinations nearby, like Kampen, Urk, Lemmer, and all kinds of beautiful watery landscapes (rivers, IJsselmeer, polderlandscapes, peat extractions etc.) giving you a historic crash course in how-to-build-the-netherlands. Amsterdam is only slightly over an hour away too.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
The calmness, serenity, away from everything, the farm vibes, the cottage, the hosts and the fact that only the birds and chicken cackles can be heard in the morning and cicadas sing at night to lull us to sleep. It was a short yet wonderful getaway.
Wonderful location in the countryside, right next to the forest. The rooms are very beautiful, stylish and clean. It was well equipped with a tv, coffee maker, and some hygiene products. The breakfast was very fresh and tasty. The hosts were friendly, with a cute dog, and a cat. We will be returning! ❤️
Beautiful location to explore the surrounding area. Tent was cosy, good bed, happy with the kettle and fridge with complimentary coffee and tea. Restaurant Piet Poot on the other side of the road was quality food, good price and friendly staff.
The Natuur lodge was exactly like in the pictures! We had a great time there and the room has everything you need. The view to the nature was beautiful. We will definitely think about going back in the summer to really enjoy the outside facilities and the surroundings.
