Lovely little hideaway. The owner kindly arranged for a tuk tuk to collect us from the train station.The cottage was so homely and well equipped with everything you might need. We loved the veranda where you could relax and enjoy the quiet view down to Ella. It was really cool to see the trains coming along the line as well ( there aren't that many trains!)
The owners wife cooked us dinner and breakfast - both meals were traditional Sri Lankan and really delicious.
This property is a real gem if you like an authentic and home from home experience.

The cottage is located in a side street FROM ella. This makes it very quiet and you don't notice the hustle and bustle of the city. But you can be in the city centre in 5 minutes on foot.
The cottage is small but very well equipped and everything you need is there. Everything was very clean and very comfortable.
The WLAN also worked really well.
Breakfast is served directly on the terrace and it was one of the best of our entire trip. Everything is freshly prepared and you can order either a Sri Lankan or an English breakfast. Simply delicious.Many thanks for the great stay

The room is surprisingly spacious, the view is great, everything is very comfortable. The hosts were amazing, thanks to their recommendations we got to see some beautiful places around Ella, like Nil Diya Pokuna. The location is close to some hiking trails like Little Adam's Peak, and has a couple of very nice restaurants. 30 minute walk to the Ella city center, or a 5 minute tuktuk ride.

The staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to help. I needed a taxi to the airport at midnight and they were able to book one for me. The ride was really comfortable and safe, in an AC car.
Rooms are really spacious and the fan is enough to cool you at night, you don't really need AC here as Ella is much cooler than some parts of Sri Lanka.
It's very quiet at night, and there are night lights and a balcony to spot wildlife like frogs, bats etc.
Whole room has a nice design and bug net, and the bathroom was really clean and spacious, with a separate sink. Wish I could have stayed longer. Bed was really comfortable!

The location is a bit distant from the noisy heart of Ella, so it’s quieter. It’s generally clean and the breakfasts are good as for Sri Lanka. The bathroom has OK water pressure and warm water which is very appreciated in this area (and not very common).

green cottages is a beautiful place. the room on the top floor is spacious, beautiful and very clean. very good value for money. the host and staff was super lovely and flexible and the breakfast, especially the home made roti and hoppers were amazing! we really recommend the place with a nice balcony. even though you can’t see very far from it, or mostly other houses, it’s very calming and cozy and therefore very close to town.
This is a cute hostel near the center of Ella. The location is strategic for those who will visit the Nine-Arch bridge and little Adam's peak. It is also a short drive to Ella railway station. There are shops around the cottage which are very helpful for immediate purchase and emergencies. The host is very kind. The room is spacious with seating area, dresser and toilet. There is also a cabinet for your clothes. There is a dining area just outside the room which is very comfy and relaxing. We had a lovely and filling breakfast.
The cabin was charmingly simple, but the breathtaking view more than compensated for everything else. With the best vantage point, waking up to the sight of the first train passing by was an enchanting experience.
Ella Green Cottage is a charming getaway nestled amidst lush greenery. The cozy and well-maintained accommodations offer a peaceful retreat, perfect for relaxation. The scenic surroundings and warm hospitality of the staff enhance the overall experience. The caretaker Hari was a really good host, received us at Ella station, greeted us coffee upon arrival and helped us find some good places to eat around the city.
The time here at yolo lovely cottage was amazing! The accommodation is beautiful, the view from the terrace is unbeatable and the bed is super cozy. The dinner and breakfast was super delicious and even if there are thousands of restaurants in ella, we couldn’t find a better place to eat than here! The hosts are so helpful caring, friendly and amazing and we are so happy to meet them!

Moksha is a cosy lil cabin situated away from the city. Overlooking a paddy field it is an eco-lodge that shares serenity. The property is maintained clean and tidy with a fully equipped 'cute' attached bathroom. The host is amiable and serves delicious meals on request. Loved our stay and will definitely go back.
