It was a very beautiful home. The hosts/staff were warm and attentive to our needs. Interior decor was cosy and comfortable, and place was very well maintained. It was the highlight of our stay and the owner and his wife, together with their cats made us felt welcomed and even prepared some information sheets on suggestions for our onward travels. It was truly a highlight of our trip here😊
Asanebou Inn is a fantastic place. The hosts are amazing - it really felt like I was part of the family! The meals are scrumptious, the rooms are cozy, the nearby onsen is stellar. I highly recommend anyone passing through Kawayu to stay here, whether travelling alone or in a group. A++
Very nice lodge in a serene surrounding with committed hosts and tasty meals. Various sights are easily reachable by car and the hosts provided valuable guidance. Highly recommended.
Aki and Taka are lovely people. I had great times with them, enjoying delicious home-cooked food. As well as making culinary discoveries, I enjoyed learning more about Hokkaido and Japan in general from them.
Their house, located in a beautiful and peaceful setting, near JR station, is very beautiful and cosy.
I loved sleeping in the Japanese-style bedroom.
The Akan region is magnificent... I'd love to come back soon!
It feels like the lodge was in a fairytale world. Birds, squirrels, deers and so on in the neighborhood. The host and hostess are so kind, they offered pickup service at Biwaru station and helped guide my second travel. I also played with their dog a lot after dinner. Onsen was great even though I'm not good at taking onsen. Homemade foods were really tasty as well.
Also, they offered a morning snowshoe tour, it was so awesome!
This is a cozy guesthouse with shared bathroom. The host is a nice guy that try his best to introduce us the nearby place to visit despite he speaks very little English. Kotan onsen is just 5 mins drive away and is a nice place to stop by to see the swan and lake.
The private indoor and outdoor onsen. The entire villa was spacious, environment was peaceful and it was relaxing. The fireplace was a very nice feature, especially during winter. Close to the nature (especially the lake) and offered opportunity for stargazing. The heating in the accomodation was great!
The room is huge with your own living room, balcony, bedroom and private toilet. The onsen provided was also limited for your own use (not other customers), thus private indoor and outdoor onsen. They also have beautiful art display and an outdoor fireplace for you to play fireworks and chill.
