The house had many amenities available for use and instructions were clear and easy to follow. Staying in a tatami room was a unique experience for us too. The bonus was being able to use their record and CD player - my parents were able to enjoy listening to songs from their younger days. There was also a 7-11 that was a short drive away.

A delightful and charming stay. The private onsen was lovely, and the decor seemed like a cosy moment paused in time.. Comfortable and eclectic, with a kind and sincere owner who also provided a wonderful breakfast. We loved it and would gladly return for another recuperative stay.
Nikko Station Hotel Classic is in a great location for JR & Tobu Nikko train services as well as the World Heritage Sightseeing Bus. The staff at the front desk were very welcoming, kind and informative and spoke very good english which we really appreciated. The room was cozy, clean and the amenities provided were of a good standard. It was a great place to stay after a long day of travel, the bed was comfy.
A great location next to the river and Shinkyo bridge.
World Heritage area minutes away. Great access to everything.
The room felt very luxurious with lots of personal touches.
The breakfasts were amazing and the small bar was a treat after temple wanderings. Evening meal offerings were simple but delicious.
The charming hosts made our stay very special.
An unforgettable stay Thanks to the owner Mr Yoshi and his guest house, everything was great and cosy.
For our 35-year engagement anniversary we decided to take an unforgettable trip to Japan with our children and we could not miss a visit to one of the most beautiful UNESCO heritage sites with temples set in the green mountains and the shinkyo bridge
We received such a warm welcome, including a very detailed map with handwritten notes and recommendations. It was above and beyond. The villa was super comfortable and cozy and had everything you'd need. I slept so well on the futon beds. Nikko and the Guesthouse were lovely and charming. We only stayed one night but wish we had more time. Highly recommend and hope to come back some day!
This place was absolutely beautiful! It had the feel of a cozy mountain cabin yet very fresh. The baths were also excellent, a real highlight of my stay. My room had everything I needed, were clean and spacious enough, and the host was also very nice.
The accommodation run by lovely elderly couple who have such a big heart and full of service mind. Room is clean and cozy. The room cost exclusive breakfast but they made it for free. The day we arrived it snow heavily, my friend shoe sole came off and the landlord fixed it for her, otherwise she won't able to travel around Nikko as the shoe shop closed. Beside that the next day, the landlord drove us to the Nikko heritage area and train station with no extra charge. I would like to rate this accommodation millions out of ten :)
While a little out of town Nikko Park Lodge Mountain Side was in a much more natural setting than a town hotel. Their communal area with a fireplace and comfy sofas worked very well for our large family group. The staff bent over backwards to help us and ensure we enjoyed our time in Nikko.
Check in was easy and english friendly. The lodge has a cozy atmosphere. There were many teas and treats to enjoy in the lounge. The wood oven keeps the louge nice and hot while you drink beer and watch tv. The big bed was comfy and the rooms are clean and spacious. We had the privilege of having the hamburger steak set for dinner. Hands down the best. If you stay here get it. Seriously. Don't miss out.
