One of the best experiences we've had on our trip to Japan.
The house is located in the mountain with a limited access (only car) as it's on a toll road. Owners were extremely nice, sweet and helpful. They gave us a lot of tips and tricks for Nara (which we used) so we had even better experience. Very easy to communicate with owners, they text back very quickly and are very nice.
The house is very well equipped, the fireplace is amazing, you can easily prepare a hotpot or grill some fish or steaks (owners have amazing equipment for both). The house is equipped with a traditional Japan style hottub which is a must try! The house was very nice and clean, enough space for everything, nice kitchen, living room and beautiful view. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Traditional bedrooms were very comfortable.
We really enjoyed staying in this accommodation! Definitely worth it!

10 mins drive away from Nara Park, quiet little house away from the crowd. Clean and comfortable with free use of its facilities. The host is accommodating and even provides recommendations on food around the area. He speaks good English, so communication is easy.
As we are unable to reserve a slot at the strawberry farm over the phone, he did so willingly despite being outstation in Tokyo.
We had a good stay in this peaceful and lovely house.

A typical Japanese room. The space is not very large, but it is enough for an average family. The house is very clean, the landlord is very kind, the price is reasonable, there is a Kintetsu line nearby, and it only takes one stop to Nara Park.

There were a couple of things to like about the place. A couple of sento are surrounding it, the beds felt good, the rooms were clean at first sight, and the fact that it was an small house for us alone was also quite good, a bit small if you would stay there with more than 6 adults.
The atmosphere was good. Staying at this kind of a old house gives a very nice atmosphere. The fact that there were 2 parking spots was very convenient as well.
The kitchen having more then enough cups and glasses was also very convenient and we were also provided with enough towels for our entire stay.
The location is a bit far from all the main attractions in Nara, luckily the train station is quite close-by and you could also just walk towards Nara park, it takes some time, but when on vacation you probably have the time.

When we arrived at Nara station, all coin lockers were full.
We called the hotel if we can put our laggages although the time was before check in and the staff accepted that.
Thank you for great kindness.

Very spacious house in a quiet area. We booked this place to go bouldering. Close to a nice temple and in the middle of a tea area. Nice bathroom and comfortable beds. The host is very friendly. We enjoyed our stay.

So easy from the station and so close to the deer park but still an oasis of Japanese style. Was our best hotel stay as welcoming, and authentic and a little old world charming. The breakfast offered was western or Japanese we went Japanese and it was a masterpiece of exquisiteness.
The guesthouse is so cute and cozy. The staff was really kind and communication in English wasn't a problem at all. I felt very welcome and enjoyed the stay a lot!
Everything about this hotel is superb. It's right next to the main Nara station, you got spa area open the whole night with late night ramen and complimentary ice-cream, massage chair. Spa area has three warm pools and one cold, plus sauna.
Beds are comfy and soundproofing feels good. Just remember to "open" your windows to be able to pull down curtains.
Pyjamas are the best thing ever.
Charming traditional house. We had a private room with bath, and it was just what we wanted in a simple Japanese style, and it had a small terrace. We could share the kitchen facilities with the main house where the dorm was.
One of the best deals you can get in Nara -- low priced room with free breakfast buffet and sauna. And the room, if you're used to the modern Japanese architectural scale (i.e. small size), is all you can ask for. Clean and cozy.
Nara Setre Naramachi exceeded our expectations with its charming wooden exterior and cozy interior. The staff's kindness towards my children added a personal touch to our stay. The culinary experience was exceptional, and the added bonuses of complimentary drinks at the lounge and a visit to the chicken farm made our stay truly delightful. Highly recommend for a memorable and family-friendly getaway.
Hotel is bit old and have some mountain lodge vibes, yet I felt very cozy and comfortable during my 2 nights stay. Room is large, location is very convienent and as a bonus I got great view from 4th floor double’s window. Overall very good deal.
loved loved loved the heritage of this hotel. it literally oozed from every timber beam (of which there are many!). charming and beautiful both the interior and exterior and superbly located for both Nara park and local eateries and walks around the old town with beautiful buildings. beds are very comfortable. would definitely stay again
