The house is very big and easily accomodated our group. It was clean. Comfortable beds and a private onsen bath. The kitchen has all utensils that you'll need. In the area are multiple reastaurants and shops. There are multiple public onsen nearby as well if you want to go there. The streets around the house are small so if you go there with a larger vehicle its a bit of a tight squeeze.

Location gave us uninterrupted bay view, quiet without street noise. The layout of the room amenities bathrobes Japanese house clothes all added to the experience. Breakfast was sumptuous . Access to a private hot tub was well used.
Friendly staff and some spoke great English which was helpful. Close walk from train/bus station. Hotel is big and modern. Rooftop view over Beppu are amazing. Great pool/sauna facilities on roof. Great Yukata selection. Our standard king room had everything we needed, aircon worked well. Also had a window that could be opened. Close to ocean for walks.

This guesthouse has been tastefully renovated to retain all its olde worlde charm.
The charming surroundings are complimented by your hosts, an older couple who have lovingly restored this beautiful building.
Take a step back, slow down a bit and enjoy the charm of this place.
Guest House Sakichi is a very charming Japansese house and very well maintained, the room was cosy and futons very comfortable with clean facitilies (shared toilet and bathroom). The hosts were kind and there is a sento/onsen just in front of the house, where the hosts advise us to go at our arrival and it was very relaxing.
The house is situated at about 15-20 min walk from the Beppu station, along the river in a very nice neighborhood.
The onsen in the hotel is small but nice, clean, it has an inside and outside hot pool, also a sauna. The rooms were cosy, the personel super nice. The buffet breakfast was amazing.
We loved our time in this traditional Japanese guesthouse. The place is charming, with a classic atmosphere in this old but cozy and nice building. The onsen is very good (you can make a reservation for a private experience) and the owner is a lovely Japanese lady. The location is also great, just a couple of blocks from the station and very close to the sea. We recommend this place!
