We chose this hotel because it’s near the Aomori station and a car rental company. Staff were nice. Breakfast was great. Room was small but manageable for 2 nights stay. Lobby was cozy offering European decoration and classical music playing in background - a contrasting theme to the small, slow-life Japanese town downstair.
Absolutely gorgeous. I love the garden, even in its winter state, and the outdoor bath and sauna was just amazing with the flurries of snow around. The staff were amazing, and the driver took us to the aquarium and back on our last morning before we took the train back to Aomori. The history is very special, and the food was also spectacular - it was so lovely to experience this Japanese cooking.
The location is really close to the JR station, restaurants, shops and the pier for walking by. The inn was simple but had a really cosy and charming atmosphere to it. The best part is the room was big and spacious, with a futon, small table and good air conditioning. I would 100% stay here again if visiting Aomori!
This was my first experience staying at a ryokan, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It felt like being in a cozy family homestay. The owner was exceptionally kind and helpful, and the location couldn't have been better. It's an excellent choice for anyone looking for a cost-effective option near the station.
