Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
We had a great time at Bjork Guesthouse. The room was cosy and clean, the beds comfortable and the bathroom huge. There was a tiny fridge, a kettle and some tea bags available in the room. As a welcome gift we have received a chocolate from Iceland which we appreciated a lot.
We also have received recommendations from one of the owner for a nice dinner spot and for the local swimming pool to relax in the hot tubs for little money. The guys are super helpful and easy to reach via WhatsApp.
Great cabin, lovely decor, very well equipped, so warm and cosy. Very remote, which suited us perfectly. Lots of wildlife to watch from the cabin and a short stroll to the lake. Would definitely recommend
A little heaven on earth. The cottage is very cosy and confortable. The little river just outside in the garden make the surroundings so peaceful. It is the perfect place to watch the northern lights.
The whole atmosphere of the farm experience was so lovely. We stayed in a cabin with a private bathroom/shower. The room was warm and cozy, the beds were comfortable. The farm has a cafe with ice cream and a restaurant where you can watch the cows eat. Breakfast was a simple continental breakfast. Pancakes were especially yummy.
Beautiful location, remote with stunning views. Very comfortable cabin, tastefully decorated with everything we needed. Responsive, kind and helpful host who made sure we found the place and arranged a digger to clear the drive when it snowed us in. The hot tub was SO GOOD.

Very cozy lovely cottages. Magndís and Lárus are great and helpful hosts. The location is perfect for the golden circle and also to relax. Enjoyed the free access to Netflix and Prime during a stormy evening.
