location is ok, clean room, but breakfast was worst, myself and my husband hospitalized after having 2nd day breakfast, food was not at all match with our expectation. Its a non-A/C room, while booking the room, i didn't noticed, temperature was too hot, not able to sleep without A/C.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, newly built house. The location was perfect, and the spacious, clean rooms made for a very comfortable stay. The host was extremely responsive and always available to assist. We also really enjoyed the delicious breakfast offered each morning. Rooms are very spacious, clean and comes with balcony with beautiful scenic view. The service provided by Johny was great he made sure we are comfortable. Owner of the property is so kind and welcoming he even took us in his Jeep to a nearby tea shop we had a superb tea there.
Food here is home made we loved it especially the onam sadhya was so tasty. They also arrange for a jeep safari we can have full day or half day package we took half day package which was memorable experience. Overall its leisure luxury but budget friendly stay .

Superb bungalow with all facilities except washing machine (if someone needs it). Otherwise no issues. It has everything that person is required to do. Amazing architecture and interior of the bungalow. I recommend this place to stay.
We stayed in 2 tamarind cottages. It was amazing experience. The resort located in a calm and peaceful environment,where we can relax and enjoy the nature. There are lot of activities like cultural programme .campfire (no need to pay extra money) and cooking demo.Their chief chef Nijo demonstrated how to cook chicken varutharachathu it was delicious.also he was very friendly and talkative. He reminded us the character of jayasurya in janapriyan movie.we liked his way of managing customers
The hotel is situated in a stunning jungle setting, featuring a beautiful reception building and charming little bungalow huts.
That is why we have booked it.
Lovely place and staff. We just stayed there for a night in their Heritage bungalow, and were left wanting for more. The banglow had 3 bedrooms , 2 bathrooms and was clean.
There is no AC, but pedestal fans are provided and sufficient. The estate itself is beautiful and green. The staff are super friendly and very helpful.
Icing on the cake was that an elephant camp is attached to the resort and kids loved it.

We had two wonderful days in our lovely cottage which was surrounded by nature. The setting was magical with spices growing all around and the sound of birds singing unique songs. The staff were very welcoming and helpful - they even booked our morning trek in Periyar Tiger Reserve for us. The spa was incredible as well - very relaxing massages! We also loved the food and I even had a cooking demonstration from the head chef. We loved everything about Amritara Shalimar and will definitely come and stay again next time we're in Kerala!
Beautiful cottage, excellent staff and service, fantastic restaurant! Plus the facilities are superb and the setting idyllic. Lots to do being so close to town and the nature reserve.
Location was fine.I didn't feel like staying in a lodge,it was like home.The way owner behaved was excellent, provided us with tea, drinking water.Totally we enjoyed the stay at Spice cottage.
