I recently stayed at Brockdeck Homestay in Calicut and had a fantastic experience. The place was impeccably clean and well-maintained, making it very comfortable. Worst property and worst property manager if you’re planning to go. We paid 25k for the beds and they didn’t even provide that after reaching there. We had to adjust in the dorm. And no extra beds were provided.even though we asked. They still made us pay after everything we have been through. They manager was very rude and arrogant. First time seeing such worst hospitality from the manager itself. He was arrogant with everything and everyone. Worst property to visit if you’re planning for a stay with family or friends.

Great location but the roads were very narrow leading to the property.
Great service the manager was very informative and attentive to guests needs. Breakfast was excellent - especially the veg stew was incredible.

As a part of a conference organised at NIT ,Calicut we were in Calicut/ Kozhikode for 2 full days.
This tharavad known as Vilayara is a heritage homestay run by Mr Unnikrishnan.Away from the hustle and bustle of the city life,we had a peaceful time surrounded by natural beauty,peace and calm.The hospitality met out by his staff added to the wonderful ambience.Exactly old worldish.
