Corderry Farmhouse, idyllic cottage amid 250 acres, hotel in Ballyorgan

Featuring mountain views, Corderry Farmhouse, idyllic cottage amid 250 acres provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 33 km from Rock of Cashel.

We loved everything about this place! The location, the accommodation, the walks around the property. It was a perfect holiday altogether with my elderly parents travelling from India and my 2.5 year old child. We were looking for a place not too far away from Cork City, a place to relax and also wanted to experience the countryside in Ireland. This place ticked all our boxes and we were delighted with our stay here. The owner, Ailish, was very prompt in answering any queries/attending to any requests right from the day of our booking confirmation. My child enjoyed the outdoor walks, watching the farm animals, petting the friendly cat which was around the cottage all day. While we couldn't go on many walks around the property due to health restrictions with my parents and my child being a bit too small for long hikes, we did visit a few other places like the Rock of Cashel, Swiss cottage, Cahir castle which are all just 25-30 minutes drive from the property. The walks that I did manage to go on within the property were great. A lot of options for people with varying fitness levels. Rest of the time was spent in the cottage and outside seating area which has spectacular views. Overall, we have taken away great memories from this place.

Quiet location where kids ran from playground to playground. Cozy accommodations with a fire and comfortable beds. Kitchen had the basic needs. With limited restaurants close by, we cooked at night. Small market 5 minutes away. Property was large, 3 BR and 3 bath. Electricity came to 25euro for 3 nights family of 4. Husband rented a mountain bike from up the road and spent the day on the trails.

All rooms have en-suite bathrooms. Well equipped kitchen. We stayed here over Christmas due to building renovations in our own home. The owner had a fabulous Christmas tree in place in the living room on arrival. It was really relaxing and our kids loved cosying up to the stove in the evening time. It is fantastic that the lodge allowed our dog to stay. Dog walkers paradise. We will be back!

The location is perfect for hikers and mountain bikers. 2km to main MTB and walking trailhead. Other walking trail starts right at the lodges. The lodges are spacious, suitable for a family or group of friends. Beds are comfortable, sheets were very clean. Kitchen is well equipped. Fireplace is a lovely feature for colder evenings. Playgrounds for kids is a big plus. Reasonable price.
