The view is absolutely spectacular! The villa is very spacious (we were only two people but the villa is suitable for a family) and well equipped with everything we needed to cook a few meals at home. Within a very short driving distance there are plenty of tavernas and also the botanical gardens which is well worth a visit. It’s also only a 25-min drive from the starting point of the Samaria Gorge hike. We enjoyed using the heated jacuzzi after a long day of hiking!

Pure tranquility. Far from the hustle of Chania yet easy to reach the city by car. A place for everyone enjoying the village life with a local bakery a few steps away. Or an avid mountain lover - so many hiking paths nearby. The host is excellent providing us with local foods, oil and wine. Everything that we needed to relax and have some days with bearable temperature in the middle of the summer (no AC needed!)

Great, peaceful location without mass tourism; Sofia is an excellent host. She was always ready to help, answering almost immediately; the house is huge and fully equipped, with perfect views onto the mountains and the village; the road from Chania is perfect, we used to drive it every night without any problems. You can easily park next to the door.

The house actually exceeded our expectations. It was clean, comfortable, very spacious and had many amenities. The host was very kind, helpful and friendly. The fireplace made a great atmosphere and in general had many traditional things inside. The beds were comfortable and the place was hot and had hot water too. You can also take a walk at the village and see the perfect view from the balcony. We think it was value for money so it's highly recommended.

Australia
Yet another property out in the countryside which is our preference. Near to the Botanic Gardens and on the road to Samaria Gorge. Great views over the countryside and a private pool. No shortage of oranges with the best juice of our trip.
