Plumpton Barn, hotel in Wye

Offering a tennis court and garden view, Plumpton Barn is situated in Ashford, 22 km from Canterbury Cathedral and 23 km from Canterbury WestTrain Station.

Staff so helpful. Had to book last minute, as let down by Airbnb, as not much notice given. To be fair we wish we had booked to stay here for the week rather than continue to Fig Tree House in Canterbury. The barn was more than adequate. Only gripe was milk had gone off in fridge.

The Bolt Hole Hythe panoramic coast and sea views, hotel in Wye

Located in Kent and only 1 km from Hythe Beach, The Bolt Hole Hythe panoramic coast and sea views provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking.

The Bolt Hole is a lovely property set in a peaceful location with sea views. It was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. The furnishings are lovely and fitting with the coastal views. The host, Tiffany was extremely friendly and helpful with excellent communication. The bed was very comfortable, with super soft bedding. We only stayed one night whilst visiting the Hide & Fox for lunch, but we would have booked a second night immediately, had it have been available. Cannot recommend this property enough and we will definitely be staying here again when we next visit.

The New Flying Horse was full of charm and character and especially cosy on a very chilly evening! Our room had some lovely personal touches - homemade fudge, measured coffee grounds for the cafetière and fresh milk. Our evening meal by the log burner was delicious. Thanks to George for making us feel so welcome. Our packed breakfast for our early start was such a thoughtful treat. Fresh croissants, orange juice and apples - all we added was a coffee in the morning. We are looking forward to returning at the end of our trip.

The restaurant and bar are just great. Very cozy and comfortable with lovely fireplace that was welcome on a dreary winter night. Great food. Our dog was welcomed both into the stable block rooms (only ones available for pets) and into the restaurant.
