The hut was so well equipped with a stovetop, fridge and a little oven/heater. Good shower too. The surroundings are lovely. There’s a well written guide on how to work everything, the history of the area and things to do nearby.

The hosts were really helpful and attentive. We appreciated the milk and groceries on arrival. and house staples like sugar etc.
The main house was nice, very cosy. The price for the house was very reasonable for the amount of rooms.
It was great to have the trampoline out the front for our daughter
The location was excellent, it was an easy walk to everywhere in the village. It was nice to be a 20 min walk from cheddar ales and the gorge.

It was really well thought out and serviced. All you could want for a stop over on the way South. Busy road for sure but not an issue at night. Also fabulous pub - the new inn - walking distance.

Beautifully quiet spot in pretty quiet village. The house was delightful, full of character and beautiful things.! Breakfast, although vegetarian was truly excellent, best fruit salad, and perfectly toasted sour dough toast with a huge variety of preserves, plus great choice of cereals ad muesli. Hosts were warm and welcoming and we had use of the kitchen for drinks.
The house was spotless and our room pretty and comfortable. Couldn't have asked for more!
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
A super welcome & complimentary drink from a charming manager / landlord. Fab location / gorgeous walks close by. Beautiful planters. Good gluten free provision
When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff and offered a complimentary drink of our choice. The room was beautiful and clean. We loved the toiletry products and the fact that there were sealed bottles of water in our room. We had recently stayed in a pub which was only slightly cheaper and the Swan Inn was far superior. The food was good quality and the service was excellent. The verandah and gardens are very pretty, set in picturesque countryside and a quiet location.
We liked the property, and the scenery too. Lots of complimentary food items which really helped .
The cottage was very clean and really cosy.. The description of the holiday was exactly how it was.
A great place to stay in Somerset! It's easy to reach from the Bristol airport and beautiful walking paths are at your doorstep. Breakfast was fantastic, as were the other meals we had in the restaurant. The room is cozy and clean, with a great shower and nice amenities (coffee, tea, etc). Very cozy vibe in the pub with the fireplace... and dog-friendly! :)
This was a lovely cottage, with plenty of room for us and our dog. Bed and sofa were really comfy and the Kitchen area had all you need for and nice self catering break. Added bonus was a nice corner bath to have a relaxing soak in, with overhead shower too. The cottage has lovely private outdoor areas - both front and back - beautiful views out the back. It is within easy reach of the Stawberry Line footpath - less than 10mins walk away.
Lovely large, bright room with big windows and a cosy feel. Loved the fact the bathroom had a bath (the water pressure was amazing!). The breakfast was excellent; I had eggs benedict and my partner had a sausage bap, and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Perfect location for walks along the Strawberry Line and the surrounding countryside, and an easy drive into Cheddar.
As soon as we entered the cottage our senses were serenaded by a soothing stream of relaxing music, we personally appreciated that the hosts had arranged such a warm welcome. The cottage is cosy and the decor is opulent in taste, there is a lovely book on display with contact numbers of Gps, restaurants and local walks and places to visit.
The garden has such a beautiful view of the Mendip hills and wildlife .
