Great location very close to high street, museums and Cobb - all very walkable. Also useful to have parking included as this is quite expensive otherwise in Lyme. Nutshell Cottage, hotel in Whitchurch Canonicorum

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Nutshell Cottage features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi.

I stayed at Nutshell for 2 nights with 2 teenage children. The cottage felt like a home away from home. It had everything we needed. The location was good, close to everything in Seaton. Communication with the hosts was easy, Nancy always replied almost immediately.

I loved the rural location and views the Roe deer visiting the garden. Six spacious bedrooms, with comfortable mattresses and duvets, and two more than adequate living rooms. The wood burning stoves were very welcome as was the plentiful supply of free seasoned logs. There was also ample storage and parking for four + cars. The hot tub and alfresco dining area were a real bonus. Five toilets, two shower rooms and a bath with shower meant little if any queuing despite the number of guests (10).
