Daisy Cottage, hotel in Twitchen

Offering barbecue facilities and garden view, Daisy Cottage is situated in Bishops Nympton, 31 km from Tiverton Castle and 37 km from Lundy Island.

This place is out of this world. We stayed here as it was local for a family birthday. We ended up staying a day longer to spend some time relaxing. There were a dozen fresh eggs waiting for us on arrival. The place was immaculately clean with all modern design. Yet the home had beautiful character even though it is relatively new. On Sunday we had a lovely egg omelette for breakfast with the fresh eggs and watched a bit of catch up tv which is something we never have time to do at home. We then decided to take the dog for a stroll down the lanes not only enjoying the view, but watched the rare breed ducks, goats, and chickens. Mark and Cheryl were really helpful and communicate really well and so welcoming. They made us feel like they were friends not strangers. They spent time introducing themselves and the children. A lovely family. Our little Shih Tzu Molly was in her element with the very large closed in side garden running free. Shame we did not have time to enjoy having a game of darts or a barbecue but will be going back again but for longer next time. The wifi is really good so did not have any problems with signal. The beds were really comfortable and a lovely view from the bedroom windows. I would highly recommend Daisy Cottage. Peace and tranquility.

Exmoor Hideaway, hotel in Twitchen

Featuring garden views, Exmoor Hideaway provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 36 km from Dunster Castle.

Great location, a short drive a few minutes from the local, superb pub (Black Venus Inn), a bit too hilly to walk after recovering from major surgery! Dogs allowed, the hosts and children came out and made a fuss of our 1yr old malinois puppy and she loved staying on the farm as well. There's lots of good walks around the area (best follow all-trails app) and really superb facilities, which all looked very new and fresh? The welcome pack has some really good quality stuff, including coffee pods and cookies, etc.

How cosy and comfortable the room was. The host, Judy, was very nice and accommodating too, offering suggestions on places to go and gave us our own little barbecue to use.

We had a wonderful weekend at the Dainty Den. The Den is all made of wood. It is a bit small but it is so warm and cosy. Everything is super clean. The bed is super cosy. You are in the middle of the countryside, the nights are so calm and you can see so many stars. Judy was a wonderful host. Communication with her was fast and informative. She gave us a warm welcome and have us great advice on what to do in Exmoor. Thank you for making our stay special.
