Modern, spacious, had everything we needed and central.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Magical venue in the Devon countryside. Traditional decor and welcoming staff. Bedroom were completely new and refurbished in a traditional style. There is a beautiful pub downstairs with a cosy indoor and wonderful outdoor sitting. We enjoyed refreshments in the sun surrounded by climbing roses. Breakfast was served in a large room with stained glass windows. The surroundings are very peaceful and atmospheric with several thatched roof buildings nearby. There is also a nice walking trail starting in the hamlet.
A ancient inn with a lot of charm and lovely staff. The room and facilities were very comfortable with a decent sized bathroom. The roast dinner was a real treat and breakfast was excellent with great wait staff. We enjoyed the environs and countryside too. Good available parking.
Lovely place to stay. Great location for what we needed. Felt very welcome from the start and throughout our stay.
The lodge seems to have been recently done out and warm and cosy.

Lovely cosy cottage, with full amenities. The food was exceptional! The fish was fresh and the chips were perfectly cooked. Arancini balls and the sauce were superb! The bird songs in the morning!! :D
Lovely setting in the Dartmoor countryside, the room was comfortable, and it was great to stay in such an old cottage with so much character. The breakfast was lovely and ordered the day before to be served at a scheduled time. The staff and owners were very nice and helpful. They helped organise a taxi for us which isnquite difficult in such a remote location.
