Lovely place to be based, pretty little cottage, within very short walking distance of not just one but two pubs. Views of Windermere over the rooftops on the way to one of them. Quick drive over the kirkstone pass to Ullswater the other way. Very well equipped. Comfy bed. Has an open fire (buy your own logs, kindling, firelighters etc but it's worth it.)
This is the most dog friendly place I have stayed in, they really do cater well for our four legged babies. The decor was fabulous and cosy and the food was delicious. All the staff were very nice and friendly and the place is gorgeous. Would highly recommend!
This a gorgeous old inn in a delightful location. The staff are absolutely charming, the pub/restaurant is a very merry and cosy and serves lovely hearty local fare and a great selection of ales. The inn is gorgeously situated on the edge of Troutbeck with a view of Windermere and some spectacular hikes nearby, Froswick and Wansfell in particular.
A very lovely cottage. The real fire was fabulous and the bluetooth speaker and Netflix were a great touch. Very comfortable bed, great shower and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
