Pooks Rest, hotel in Ticehurst

Situated in Hurst Green in the East Sussex region, Pooks Rest has a balcony. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking.

This was a return visit for me as I travel to Kent on business. Pooks Rest is an ideal stop-off for me, quiet and comfortable with excellent facilities (microwave, coffee machine, hob), a comfortable bed and nice shower room. Despite the weather being unseasonably warm, the log burner was lit for me which made the room warm and very inviting after a long drive. It would be a lovely place to stay as a base if visiting Kent.

The lodge has everything you might need for a relaxing break, is very clean and tastefully decorated and is set in idyllic surroundings. We loved that getting to Bewl Water edge was a pleasant twenty minutes walk away. The hosts do things properly and the attention to detail makes a difference. Looking forward to visiting again.

I had mentioned that we were there for our wedding anniversary, I didn't even say it was our silver one, and they upgraded us to a beautiful lodge for the night. We were delighted by this kindness. The food was great, my husband was really impressed by the veggie breakfast, he said he'd never eaten such a good one, high praise from him! We ate there in the evening and the dinner was lovely too. There's a lovely peaceful friendly atmosphere here, the staff are charming, and it feels welcoming and relaxed.
