Barjols Cottage - Uk30096, hotel in Symington

Located in Wiston in the Lanarkshire region, Barjols Cottage - Uk30096 has a garden.

Very atmospheric place to stay, with lovely, cosy interior! The cottage has old (in a good way!) and traditional feel to it, with all of the modern comforts you might need. We stayed there in October, with the outside temperatures on the lower side, and inside was so lovely and warm! Additionally, working log burner added extra warmth and cosiness in the living area. Kim, whom I’ve liaised with regarding the cottage, was very nice and helpful throughout. The location was also fantastic, only short drive to Edinburgh and beautiful Pentland Hills reserve. I’d definitely visit again!

Great Whaup, hotel in Symington

Situated in Coulter in the Lanarkshire region, Great Whaup provides accommodation with free private parking. This 4-star holiday home offers a garden.

We loved the hot tub, the fireplace and the peaceful location. Garden is good size, kitchen is bigger then it looks on the pictures, bathroom is beautiful. Underfloor heating kept us warm even on the cold nights. The owner Jon, and Stacey were both very helpful and went over the moon to help us when we had issues with the car. Unforgettable holiday!

Black Grouse, hotel in Symington

Black Grouse, a property with a garden, is situated in Coulter, 50 km from National Museum of Scotland. The property is non-smoking and is set 49 km from EICC.

Black Grouse is a very comfortable house. It is warm and well appointed. The kitchen has everything you could need for a visit. And the beds are good and comfy. The location is great, slightly off from a main rd and with good access to nice walks and countryside straight out the door. My 3/4 year olds really enjoy staying in this house to visit granny. There is a play park near by and a swing in the garden...it is a really well located house for exploring Southern and Central Scotland. I have stayed a few times and will definitely stay again.

Pond Cottage, hotel in Symington

Pond Cottage is a holiday home is situated on the Carmichael Estate, 8 km from Biggar and is 46 km from Edinburgh. The property boasts views of the lochan and is 45 km from Glasgow.

Great location in a peaceful place, a mile from the road in the woods. All facilities as described and once you've found the cottage (the directions are good) I found it just perfect. Very quite and plenty of places to walk around the woods. The roads around are all country roads but not that much traffic which was a bonus. Really enjoyed my stay.

I love this quirky hotel in the magical countryside of South Lanarkshire. Decor and furnishing choices in the rooms can be a bit strange, but all the better after the endless Holliday Inns and other chains. The staff are real people, each of them different, and there is a bit of a buzz about the place that the coach parties add to rather than spoil. The Grand Staircase with the stained glass is straight out of Agatha Christie. Go Tinto !

The hotel is decorated in a traditional country house style but with extra finishing touches making it feel special but still welcoming. The room and bed are large and very comfortable, just what was needed after a long drive. The waitress/receptionist on the Saturday we arrived was working alone and busy but was very friendly and helpful.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It's incredibly new, clean, and cozy. I loved the color scheme and the ambiance - it really added to the overall experience. My absolute favorite part of the stay was the dining experience. The meals were not only beautifully presented but also incredibly delicious. The attention to detail and the quality of the food were outstanding. I couldn't have asked for a better dining experience during my stay.
