The setting was amazing , nestled near a stream and pasture and the building was beautiful!
Our room was so lovely and looked luxurious with a great bed and spacious bathroom. Great lighting for putting on makeup. Full-length mirror in rhe room.
We ate dinner in the restaurant which was lovely, my lamb meal was so good.
The staff were lovely and chatted to us and made us feel very welcome.
We would have stayed longer if we had time!

The property was in an excellent location with on street parking right outside. It was clean and beautiful inside. The property owner was amazing. Some lovely treats left for our arrival. All the facilities were superb and the property had everything needed and more for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. It was the ideal location for attending a wedding at Cornhill castle. Even though the property is on the high street there was no noise from traffic. I would highly recommend this holiday home and if ever visiting biggar again wouldn’t hesitate to book this property again. Thank you to the host for everything!

Great location in a peaceful place, a mile from the road in the woods. All facilities as described and once you've found the cottage (the directions are good) I found it just perfect. Very quite and plenty of places to walk around the woods. The roads around are all country roads but not that much traffic which was a bonus. Really enjoyed my stay.

Lovely cottage with stunning countryside views. Plenty of space and well equipped kitchen. Enjoyed breakfast at the Bistro.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
I love this quirky hotel in the magical countryside of South Lanarkshire. Decor and furnishing choices in the rooms can be a bit strange, but all the better after the endless Holliday Inns and other chains. The staff are real people, each of them different, and there is a bit of a buzz about the place that the coach parties add to rather than spoil. The Grand Staircase with the stained glass is straight out of Agatha Christie.

The hotel is decorated in a traditional country house style but with extra finishing touches making it feel special but still welcoming. The room and bed are large and very comfortable, just what was needed after a long drive. The waitress/receptionist on the Saturday we arrived was working alone and busy but was very friendly and helpful.
Lovely staff, perfect.nice room ,great bed, very pleasant traditional furnishing in communal spaces, amazing old phone kiosks in foyer, penny farthing balanced on the stairwell bannister! Stained glass windows... it's own brewed beer, a nice cosy bar. Good quality food.
Beautiful hotel with the cosy countryside feel, modern rooms, the stained glass windows on the main stairwell were stunning! Staff were warm and very welcoming.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It's incredibly new, clean, and cozy. I loved the color scheme and the ambiance - it really added to the overall experience.
My absolute favorite part of the stay was the dining experience. The meals were not only beautifully presented but also incredibly delicious. The attention to detail and the quality of the food were outstanding. I couldn't have asked for a better dining experience during my stay.
The hotel is newly renovated and the environment looks nice. The staff is kind and warm hearted. The bed is comfortable and cozy. Most importantly, the food is delicious.
Hotel staff are really helpful and friendly. We loved our stay. Rooms are newly refurbed and are very cosy. Would recommend to anyone who is looking to have a relaxing long weekend!
