Location was brilliant to just stroll into Thirsk or the very good crown and anchor pub, the also good Fish n chip shop, but mostly the reason we were there was it was 15 minute walk to the brilliant Thirsk racecourse.

We Loved the hot tub (very spacious for 2 people). We loved the location… being in the heart of the wilderness. We had a meal at the plum and partridge which was also amazing.

Exceeded our expectations, beautifully laid out, clean and fresh throughout. Lovely little hamper on arrival, basic essentials provided including more than expected. Super quiet location. Beautiful peaceful location. Rooms well equipped (even had a clothes horse, iron and ironing board should you need them). We loved that it felt like having our own little flat. We also loved the access to the outdoor seating area, views of the night sky from the courtyard and views of the hills from the front (while also watching the farm animals on the farm).

Helen and Denis gave us a warm welcome. little Ings was perfect, bright and clean. Helen had left us some pastries. Also chocolates and a lovely real fruit drink. it was well equipped. The Market Town was great, easy walk with lovely cafes and pubs. We will be going back.

The cottage is cute with lots of space. The living room would not have enough seating if the cottage was full to capacity, but it was super spacious for 3 of us.

Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Very comfortable and well situated little cottage in the grounds of a beautiful garden. Very comfy bed and powerful shower, with a very pleasant living room set up.
As we were a party of six, the cottage was perfect. Downstairs bedrooms, upstairs a lovely lounge/kitchen area. Warm, clean and equipped with everything we needed. Set in a quiet location, 10 minutes drive from Thirsk, with walks up to Sutton Bank taking about an hour.
Can recommend, brilliant place. We didn't use the laundry, but it's there for next time....
