It was easy to find on satnav and you have a beautiful clean kitchen fully equipped to make your own beackfast and the host were very friendly and very helpful and it was late when we arrive at property the lovely hosts had fresh milk and bread and little treats for use in the house which was very helpful and kind of them we will definitely be booking agains very soon in future and the house very clean and homely

The cottage was so beautiful, on a remote, quiet location. It was fully equipped, had everything you need. It was spacious, luxurious, and it truly felt like a home away from home. Fresh flowers and treats were waiting for us when we arrived (and kept on coming during our stay). Mark and Julie were so kind, they went out of their way to help us with every question we had, and were always making sure that we had everything we need. The garden area with the hot tub was truly amazing. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and we hope we get the chance to ever come back!

The cottage was perfect for me in every way.I was on a solo birding holiday specifically looking for geese and Powfoot is ideally placed. At nearby Caerlaverock I saw an estimated 7000 barnacle geese and then the following day on the English Solway at Rockcliffe there were a further 15,000. In the evening after dark I could hear flocks of geese flying over the village on their way to roost, and during the day there were many wading birds on the estuary right in front of the cottage. A very atmospheric place. I've already booked again for next year, can't wait!

Self catering. Delighted with the welcome package. Location ideal. The beach was just across the road , so couldn’t get much closer !! Local Pub/ restaurant just up the road. Shops a 5 minute drive. Lovely walks and nature parks , even saw some red squirrels!!
