Squirrel Barn is a fun and eccentric place which genuinely caters to the whole family (and more!). It is a beautiful old building filled with anything and everything you could think of, with wonderful little touches and a really warm feeling. We were in the area to visit Alton Towers and to be honest we had just as much fun at Squirrel Barn! The owners are fantastic - friendly, accommodating and excellent at contact. Great bonus with the hot tub and stunning views. Although the annex is under the main house, you don't feel over looked and it does feel very private.

Really comfortable and cosy spot, just across from main facilities of Cannock Chase and activities like bike hire and Go Ape, etc.
Host was fantastic, so lovely and friendly. They gave us loads of fantastic information about the area, local pubs, etc. and gave us a walkthrough of how to use the hot tub and barbecue.

Buttercross Cottage is a charming old cottage thoughtfully equipped for a very comfortable holiday. Located in a beautiful village with lots of walks and eating out places on the doorstep. Genuinely dog friendly, a very well equipped kitchen, great bathroom, comfy beds and the private little courtyard off the sitting room much appreciated during the summer weather.
The host were so lovely, made us hot chocolates and let us borrow some games, super cosy and private place and felt lovely and clean, the garden is lovely with the hot tub being sheltered and a small fire for cooler nights.
Own breakfast as self catering accommodation. Location was fine for Lichfield only drawback was another private home called ivy cottage which meant finding right location was difficult and time consuming l
