The cottage was made to be nice and warm when I arrived. There was plenty of food available and I was even given the option of what food I wanted the next day. My dog was provided with treats, bags and even a ball to play with.
The people who own the place were absolutely lovely and made sure I felt very comfortable. There was a gorgeous garden and minimal noise in the night from the road outside.
I had an amazing time there x
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
The surrounding area was beautiful, looking out the window was a pond and pretty lights in the trees when it got dark. Lots of wildlife around too. And I liked that I could drive right up to the cabin and park my car outside. The beds were fairly comfortable and the towels nice and big.
Beautiful grounds, the rooms are like little lodges and have everything you need for a short stay. The beds and pillows were very clean and comfortable.
Very quiet place. Small but cosy room, independent entrance, free parking, easy to find and close to Royston, Cambridge. Very close to Melbourne , which is a lovely old small town
The property was loverly, quirky with its wanky floors and wall. The bedroom was cosy with a impressive modern en-suite.The restaurant was smart and great to see the open fire pizza oven
The rooms were clean with comfy beds. Despite being in a pub, it was really quiet.
The food was really nice, and breakfast starting at 7 meant we could eat before we went to work.
All the staff were really friendly. They even fetched water out for the dog owners who had fetched their dogs to sit outside.
The beer garden is really cosy and set back from the road and has plenty of cover for if it rains.
The rooms were lovely and clean with a great shower and a very comfy bed... we had a lovely view of the countryside out of our window too nice breakfast too and plenty of parking.. Would stop here again it's a good base to explore and not too far from Cambridge
