I arrived later than expected but the hosts couldn't have been nicer and even provided me with an evening meal after the local pub stopped serving. The cottage had everything I needed - natural setting, not too warm and not too cold; great breakfast conveniently made earlier than expected, good shower, spacious room. I would highly recommend this place to stay for a few days or more !

Cosy but with good, modern facilities. We loved the conservatory and the garden especially. Lovely situation. Everything we could want in village with shops, pubs and restaurants. Beautiful countryside for walks.around the village. Peaceful and people friendly. Not far from coast and many inland attractions too.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
Absolutely lovely location, stunning views. And offers chance to see their farm which is amazing especially for children, unfortunately it snowed when we went so didn’t have a look around the farm but this was still offered to us, very clean and comfortable beds. Hot tub was lush. And the little cabin which has games and dvds etc is a great idea.
Views were fantastic and could be admired from a comfy, cosy pod or an enjoyable star gazing experience in the hot tub. We were incredibly delighted with our stay and will be coming back very soon for a longer stay.
The location is amazing, stunning views to Penhill. The pods are spotlessly clean, well equipped and the beds super comfy. The shower room is cosy but practical and clean. The sofa beds are great to sleep on our lounge and watch TV.
And the wood-fired hot tub (we stayed at Bishopdale pod) was a real bonus to watch the wildlife and sunset while enjoying some cold bubbly. Janet was super friendly and helpful, a real character! Will definitely go back and would highly recommend to anyone.
