The cottage is lovely in a great location with splendid views over the bay and close to local amenities. It was also well located for trips to other places in Dumfries & Galloway.

The property’s sea views were out of this world: both out of the master bedroom & lounge windows. And the welcome package was sustainably sourced and delicious! The carpets were also deep and plush and overall, the cottage offered a very comfy bed, a new kitchen, powerful shower, loads of space & tasteful decor. Altogether rockpool cottage is a safe place for solo travellers to explore the surrounding area & get back to feeling yourself. If you’re looking for socialising this isn’t the one for you

The location was perfect for our family to have some quite relaxing time together. Rock cottage had everything available to meet our needs for a weeks away, the property is beautifully decorated, very clean and makes for a very comfortable and cosy stay. Being on the sea front means direct access to the beach and the most amazing views. The spar is just up the road and the View does a very good breakfast at a reasonable price.

Ideally situated for visiting a very beautiful part of unspoilt country. Comfortable bed and mostly a comfortable cottage. The garden was quaint, but seemed rather run down with a lot of unnecessary clutter, which really didn’t make us feel like sitting in it, despite the weather being really good.

The cottage has a lovely view, was well equipped, had lots of space and was impeccably clean. There was a very thoughtful welcome pack for us on arrival. A comfortable haven to retire to at the end of a busy day.
