Church House, hotel in Poolewe

Situated in Poolewe, Church House provides accommodation within 23 km of Victoria Falls. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property and private parking is available on site.

Jenny was an excellent host and provided very clear information leading up to the stay. The information provided in the accomodation about the local area and how to use the facilities was excellent. It was very comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Jenny was proactive about making sure everything was OK and I'm sure would have been quick to deal with any issues (though there weren't any).

Aultbea Lodges, hotel in Poolewe

Set in over 2 acres of mature gardens, Aultbea Lodges offer self-catering accommodation with sea views. A private garden, free WiFi and on-site parking are available.

Aultbea Lodges are located in a very peaceful elevated setting, yet one which is readily accessible on foot or by car from the centre of Aultbea, which includes a pub-restaurant and a small shop. This location is particularly well-placed for the exploration of various scenic attractions on and near to the north-west coast such as Inverewe Gardens, Slaggan - abandoned village and bay, Gruinard Bay, Corrieshalloch Gorge, Ardwreck Castle, and Stoer lighthouse. The lodges are well separated from each other by plenty of outdoor space which includes car parking, grassy areas, outdoor seating and shrubbery, so providing high standards of privacy. Although we did not bring a pet with us on this occasion, the informal garden area would have been a definite bonus if we had dome. Internally, the lodges provide much more that rudimentary holiday accommodation; they would be entirely habitable in the longer-term. Our lodge was immaculately and very tastefully decorated and furnished. The habitable rooms are generously proportioned. The beds and sofas are very comfortable, and for the colder nights, the provision of high quality electric blankets was a nice touch. The kitchen is particularly well equipped, enabling the preparation of full meals. The bathroom is also well appointed, with a high quality shower. We also appreciated the provision of a decent vacuum cleaner, so that we could keep the lodge clean during our stay.

Absolutely stunning location in a very relaxing and comfortable house. A week of sunshine and very little wind made this a perfect week for walking and photography. Night skies filled with stars, amazing.

We were delighted with the warm welcome and impeccable hospitality. The house is beautiful, fragrant, clean, very cozy and practical. The garden and surrounding countryside is breathtaking. The breakfast was homemade and we enjoyed it very much. A gastronomic experience. Thank you for the wonderful time we could spend in your house.

Anna and her husband give a very warm highland welcome and their home is superb. Cosy, spotlessly clean, lovely decoration, and wonderful location with views over the loch and distant mountains. Good hearty breakfast. Everything was impeccable and we can highly recommend a stay at Mo-Dhachaidh. 12/10

Dinner was lovely at the hotel - and the waiter was absolutely charming. It's basic food but it was good. The rooms were basic too but were perfectly adequate.

We loved the setting of the bungalow, facing the loch, just stunning! Our room was comfortable and cosy, and very clean and inviting. Breakfast was delicious. Anna and Sandy are two of the nicest people we’ve come across on our many travels, they were very welcoming and friendly, we really enjoyed chatting with them both, they made us feel like old friends.. We can certainly recommend a stay with them!
