Beautiful apartment set in a converted Victorian house. Very cosy and comfortable inside with state of the art furnishings but regard to original features. The double bed was very comfy and there was everything we needed for a short stay in the kitchen. The parking space was easy to use. Although it is in the heart of Baslow, this is a very peaceful place where you can enjoy the birdsong and the tranquil country surroundings. Baslow is small but has a remarkable number of eating options plus a Co-op. We would particularly recommend the Prince of Wales literally across the road from the apartment where we enjoyed a superb dinner. From this base, it is very easy to visit Bakewell, Buxton, Heights of Abraham, Monsal Trail and the famous Derbyshire caves. We didn't want to rush on Sunday morning and our very helpful host was happy to accommodate a longer check out time, which made the trip even more relaxing.

Location was very strategic for us as we wanted to visit the Chatsworth Farm Shop and walk around Chatsworth House. There is a Co-op about 3-4 minute walk from the accommodation too if we needed any essentials. The flat itself was warm, cozy and clean. It has all the essential facilities that a home needs. The bathroom was clean and spacious and had a nice shower area. The bedrooms had comfy beds. The kitchen was equipped with a gas stove and had all the essentials - cutlery, plates, microwave, fridge, freezer etc. There is onsite, private parking which seems quite secure too. Overall, a lovely home and area.
