Great location, a short drive a few minutes from the local, superb pub (Black Venus Inn), a bit too hilly to walk after recovering from major surgery! Dogs allowed, the hosts and children came out and made a fuss of our 1yr old malinois puppy and she loved staying on the farm as well. There's lots of good walks around the area (best follow all-trails app) and really superb facilities, which all looked very new and fresh? The welcome pack has some really good quality stuff, including coffee pods and cookies, etc.

Everything!! Nick and Kiri are great, we managed to get a last minute booking here and then extended for another night. The property is stunning, the beds are super comfy and the place is so clean. We was out feeding the animals.. alpacas, sheep, chickens, ducks, rabbits etc etc. Can’t fault this place or the people. Highly recommend

Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
It was really peaceful, clean and comfortable and the staff were really helpful and friendly. It had everything we needed for a relaxing stay and was well-placed for visiting places of interest & walking in the stunning countryside. Loved our stay there.
We were made to feel welcome and at home. The Bothy was lovely and an ideal bolthole and place to explore nearby towns, villages, and beaches. There's a firepit/BBQ and a lovely looking log fire although we didnt use it. The evenings are cosy with the curtains closed and the lighting and decor are really considered. Although there's no phone signal we did get by with WiFi and there's a smart tv to chill with a film on rainy nights. The kitchen is quaint and the shower is fab! We had a lovely stay off grid :-)
Lovely breakfast, liked the self service, too. So good to have the use of a kitchen in the evening.

I don't often give five star reviews but this place gets six! The extra star was gained by the delicious home made cake left for us.
The house was perfection down to the last detail. All the bedrooms were large and perfectly made up. The hot tub and sauna were gorgeous.
Above all the location is just far enough away from everything to be perfectly quiet without being a struggle to drive to.
Absolutely recommend this house to a large group of friends or a couple of families wanting a get away. We will likely be back again!
The cottage is beautiful with a fantastic balance of modern contemporary and rustic decor. It really is a charming property set in Exmoor’s picturesque countryside.
The bothy is both comfortable and practical and offers a great base in which to explore from. I would also like to add that the owners are happy to go above and beyond to ensure their guests have the perfect stay.

Judith and Dean were amazing hosts, very friendly, helpful and more than happy to introduce and let us fuss their animals (which made our stay even more special)
The location is idyllic - remote and peaceful which is what we were looking for.
Our dog had a lovely time too and the Bothy garden was perfect for her!
The Bothy was cosy and well equipped for what we needed for the few nights we stayed.
We would definitely like to return.
Wow, what can I say , everything was meticulously prepared for our arrival. The Bothy was already warm , heating on and logs by the fire if we wanted to light one. ( We did , every evening). Immaculately clean , fantastic layout, such a delightful escape to the countryside.
