This is a real hidden gem. The cottage was spotless, very cosy and had everything we required. The bed was so comfy we had the best sleep. We hired the hot tub which was a real treat sitting under the trees and looking at the stars. We had a walk down to the river and the scenery is beautiful. It was lovely to watch the birds in the garden. We ventured out to the Running Fox for delicious food and walked round the gardens at Kirkhekle courtyard. The owners were excellent communicators and were very helpful and kind throughout our stay. We would highly recommend this place.

Avril cooked my husband a lovely veggie breakfast with plenty . We were also given fresh melon and strawberries , fruit juice , we felt very well looked after . Yeah it’s a bit in the wilds , maybe ? Easy to find, based on the hosts instructions. Absolutely loved the living room area, the log burner and fire place was beautiful. Kitchen was fully equipped, with all utensils that you would ever need. There were loads of additional extras, including travel cot, fire guard, hoover, cleaning products, local guides, takeaway menus, tea and coffee, biscuits, crisps, extra logs for the fire. The hosts gave us extra information about the local pub, which was closed but had given us information about where to find the next pub. overall 10 out of 10 experience. Lovely cottage. very happy with our stay. would highly recommend and would happily return in the future.

The host was lovely; setting up birthday banners and a balloon for our son’s birthday. Sam was also generous with eggs and an extra evening in the hot tub which was much appreciated. The cottage is lovely and cosy.
We were warmly greeted by Sam on arrival, she showed us around the grounds and had kindly stocked the cottage with everything we could need, including some eggs from her farm and a range of refreshments. Our stay was amazing, in a very quiet and idyllic location. We had a lovely relaxing night away. The cottage was very cosy, had a very contemporary style and was very clean. Also we really enjoyed the hot tub that Sam had kindly prepared for us. Such a great experience and would visit again!
