Well, let's start with Lis, your host. What a lovely lady who made us feel very welcome, gave some great tips for our stay and even made freshly baked Welshcakes for arrival. You really couldn't ask for any more. The cottage is amazing. Spotlessly clean, charming, peaceful and the location is perfect for exploring so many places that are not very far away. We packed in an awful lot on our 3 night trip. We would recommend staying longer and are already working on when we can come back.

We visited so many beautiful, scenic places and my 4 children had the best week. Communication with the owner was lovely. Couldn’t have asked for more!

Plas Dorothea, this really is a hidden gem. This is a quirky old style house with lots of character and a lovely place to stay. We were a group of 16, ages from 3 to 55 and we ALL loved our stay here and we will be booking to stay again. The kids didn't want to come home! The owners are lovely and have really tried to make sure you have everything you will need for your stay here. From the outside, the house looks small but honestly, it is like a tardis, lovely quirky big rooms, we spent ages looking around all the rooms and exploring when we arrived. The kitchen has all ameneties you will need, washer, dryer, dishwasher, double oven. Pots, pans, plates etc. The bar room with log fire was a big favourite all round, also the barbecue patio area with a fantastic large secure garden for kids (and adults) to run around and play. We played rounders, 5 a side football, hide and seek! There are plenty of games, mini pool table, darts, stereo, kareoke, Wi-fi, Netflix and even guitars! There are 6 bedrooms, 3 were en suite, the rooms and beds were clean and comfy, we all slept well. The quary walks and the views really are something else, beautiful. There are takeaways and local shops a short 5-10 min drive away. You can order online for Tesco or Asda to deliver if needed. We honestly couldn't fault our stay here. We would recommend booking a stay here, we can't wait to go back.

The cottage is cute, with well equipped kitchen. The living room is cosy with log burner, which we absolutely loved. The communication with the owner was amazing, he answered all questions, was in touch before and during our stay, offering support. The bedroom is spacious with a comfy bed. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do: walked around quarries (within walking distance), hiked some hills down the road (only 20 mins in the car), did parkrun on the beach (half an hr away). It was fab and relaxing.

This is a big old house with lots of character in the middle of nowhere near an old slate quarry - great walks. It might have been a b&b in the past, or maybe a social club, and bizarrely (but brilliantly) has it's own bar in a back room (bring your own booze), cosy and snug, complete with working fireplace. It was exactly what we wanted, and we didn't expect anything more. It's very secluded, with views of Snowden from the large back garden. Great for a getaway with friends.

Amazing little cottage, the open wood burner a big plus for me. Just a very comfy, cosy place. Nice little milk & biscuits for arrival and towels on the beds ready too. Fantastic. Little touches. Book of numbers if you needed them including local takeaways. It is bigger than the pictures show was surprised with the size.
