Really lovely house in lovely village. Comfortable sitting room and nice bed. Good location from which to explore the wider area - close to Westward Ho!, Northam Burrows, Instow, Tapeley Gardens, etc - all very much enjoyed. Smart TV. Nice bed linen and bath sheets.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
A lovely Swimming pool which the grandson loved. A very nice cottage (just lacked tlc) a lovely weekend with the family and very nice surroundings. The owners were very friendly.
Lovely ,old pub with thatched roof. The room was comfortable and quiet, and was in the old part of the pub. We had a good night's sleep after a long days driving .Good breakfast . Enjoyed our stay.
Splendid location, lovely views. Comfortable bed. Open fire and logs provided. Cottage had everything we needed. Convenient parking. Indoor swimming pool Fantastic value.
Very clean & comfortable, secluded place in the countryside with great view over fields from property. All the equipment we needed. Large hot tub & parking for 2 cars in drive. Friendly host.
Lovely location. A charming, character cottage. A wood burner was lit for us on arrival, with electrical heating available if needed. Everything was clean and tidy and the kitchen area was well equipped for self catering.
Although a swimming pool was available in another building we did not make use of this facility.
Wifi worked well. Only a few miles drive to RHS Rosemoor where we had planned to visit and then on to the coast, although road diversions due to road works at the time increased the length of the journey.
Turned up 30 mins early, the key was in a key box so I put in the code and was in the lodge in seconds. It was of a very high standard. A lovely welcome pack, the hot tub was beautiful, and the view was fantastic, my wife and I (and pooch) had a chilled weekend.
Pub was a very characterful old building - the whitewashed corridor to our room was amazing. Room was clean, cosy and comfortable with all the expected amenities. Dinner and breakfast both homecooked and tasty. A few lovely pints of Dartmoor Legend before bedtime. Becky the landlady was lovely and we had the company of Devon the dog as we sat in the bar.
