Loved the furnishings and even though we literally put down our bags and went out, the kitchen looked like it would be great to cook and eat in. We had a few glasses of wine in the living room later which was lovely and comfy, and it was a brilliant place to stay near our family. Very clean and spacious and bright. Truly very happy, as were the kids :-)

Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
This was a second day stop on the Yorkshire Wolds Way. The room was beautiful with a lovely fireplace and view over the adjacent church yard. The complimentary porridge and snacks were much appreciated
Explorers cottage was just a beautiful home from home for me, my husband and our 2 whippets.
There were lots of little extras and there was nothing that hadnt been thought of
Clean, comfortable, cosy and well equipped. Even has tea, coffee, sugar and a carton of milk was a nice touch. High quality finish in all rooms. Well situated in the village opposite supermarket and a short walk to my daughters house. We will definitely stay again.
The property is great! The location, decor, cleanliness etc is all top notch! I couldn’t have asked for more for the price so great value for money. The cottage is lovely and cosy and I will definitely be back.
Lovely cosy cottage, the fireplace in the front room makes it extra special. Hosts were very welcoming and acomidating with great communication. Everything you need for a comfortable stay in a great area, will return again in the future.
