Absolutely everything was perfect. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed a lovely walk following the map supplied by the hotel. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and room was fabulous. The staff were most attentive and welcoming. Dinner in the brasserie was delicious and the breakfast was amazing with a fabulous choice. The attention to detail was incredible and the facilities available made us want to stay for longer. We will definitely return.

The size of this place is so impressive and yet oddly doesn't feel too big for two people. It has a superb layout with great characteristic features. Amazing kitchen with a nice big oven. The upstairs lounge is very relaxing. The WiFi worked fine but the welcome book needs updating though, as the WiFi information is not current.
Typically we got good old UK weather (plenty of rain), which turned the rear garden into a muddy pond. This sadly stopped us from using the hot tub, as the ground was so wet. Had the weather been better we would have definitely used it.

Absolutely loved my stay on the 20/9. I stayed with me niece and nephew and they were over the moon with the change of scene we needed. A bonus we got to see deer running around it the morning. Rebecca was really helpful with any questions I had and easy to talk to. Only down side was having to leave, should definitely had booked an extra night!

Lovely breakfast great hosts lovely home. I have a bad knee so the stairs were a bit difficult. We were looked after extremely well such lively people so kind and helpful nothing was too much trouble
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
The superior room was fabulous. Large and airy with large sash windows with black-out curtains and a nice view at the front overlooking the church. I liked the decor; wood panelling, fireplace, sofa and coffee table and large bed. Nice rug too.
Lovely interior, plenty of room for a couple. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The place was clean and cosy. Staff was helpful and cheerful ☺️ We definitely recommend to visit!
This was about second stay at the Chequers Inn. The staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. It is a very old building with charming character. The rooms are very well equipped and have great decor.
The menu caters for all with a variety of choices which are cooked and presented to a high standard. The rooms are comfortable and are supplied with an iron, ironing board, hairdryer and a kettle with tea and coffee. The food and bar prices are very competitive. Will definitely be booking again.
The whole feel of the place, it was very festive, friendly, warm and comfortable with lots of history attached. Our Room was was clean, cosy and had everything we needed. Breakfast choices were many and varied and nicely presented. All the staff were friendly, polite and very helpful. Would definitely stay again!
We were given room 8 and all I can say is wow! what an amazing room.
it was so comfortable with a lovely bathroom- with a bath/shower. the room is panelled- so many lovely features including a comfy leather sofa and open fireplace.
