Ruth and her husband gave us a very warm welcome, we had a delicious homemade Victoria sponge cake waiting for us that me and partner loved! We ate every single bit. The cabin was so cosy and we felt very peaceful there with the beautiful views and peaceful atmosphere! Just what we needed.

Absolutely gorgeous! We loved our stay so much! The hot tub was so lovely and we felt completely secluded! Such a beautiful area to stay in and hosts were very informative, and just all round lovely! Everything we needed was offered, even though everything we needed was in the cabin! Ruth has gone above and beyond to make such people have the most lovely relaxing private getaway! We will definitely be coming back!

The peaceful surroundings, the very well equipped cottage, the wonderful attached bathroom (specifically the shower), the host's very excitable spaniel, and the visiting neighbourhood cats. Not forgetting the dark skies, the red kites, hot tub and last but certainly not least, our friendly hosts!

Lovely cosy cottage, excellent location, right in between two lovely towns. The host, Ruth, made us possibly the best Victoria’s sponge we’ve ever had. We absolutely loved the 4 legged hosts also.

Our three-night stay at the cabin was fantastic. The place was cosy and clean with all the essentials provided. Ruth, our host, surprised us with a delicious homemade cake. The views were stunning, and we enjoyed interacting with the horses, dogs, and sheep on the property. My wife loved the variety of mugs and accessories at the cabin. The bed was comfortable, and having free firewood and freshly cut flowers was a nice touch. Overall, it was a great getaway, and we look forward to returning.

The cabin is brilliantly located in quiet countryside with views from the covered terrace area across fields and hills. Ruth had lit a fire before we arrived and she welcomed us on arrival to show us everything we needed to know. There was even a basket of bread, eggs and cake. The cabin is wonderfully decorated with lots of lovely touches and all you’d need to cook for two.
