What a place! Wales, Snowdonia, this valley and Melin Bach cottage! We absolutely enjoyed our stay here. There are plenty of things to do: hiking to Moel Hebog, hiking the Nantlle Ridge, biking to Caernarfon (Castle), eating at Y Garreg, exploring the Dragon's Back Race route... But there's still so much to discover here. All the more reason to come back! We felt very welcome. Thank you Paul & Caroline

Love this place. The proprietor should be applauded for rescuing and rehabilitating such a unique historical property. Aesthetically, it is visually very appealing. I was particularly attracted to it because of its proximity (about 200 meters) to the ruins of Plas Brynkir, the ancestral home of a distant branch of my family.

We stayed at a lovely cottage just a short 15-minute drive from Porthmadog. We had a great time exploring Snowdonia on an old-fashioned train called Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways. There were also many hiking trails nearby (the cottage even had a book with directions). The cottage itself had everything we needed, and we especially enjoyed the fireplace where we could relax with a glass of wine while our dog rested on the floor nearby.

The cottage was amazing, they supplied everything we needed, all we had to do was buy food. The location was perfect, surrounded by nothing but great scenery for miles however, just close enough to a tesco that its easy enough to go and get what you need. The perfect get away location for those who love nature and an added bonus you can bring the family dog!
