We stayed at Pen-Rhos in “Cuckoo’s Nest for four nights in mid January. The scenery surrounding the ‘cabin’ was breathtaking and there was enough space between each cabin for privacy. The space was small, but perfect for two and had every appliance we needed for meals and hot drinks. The bathroom was clean and the shower heated quicker than ours at home. Llandrindod Wells had a few pubs and grocery stores that were close and convenient. Surrounding cities like Newtown, Rhayader, and Builth Wells were great for pub dinners.

Loved the extra touch of holiday decorations since we were there over Christmas. Loved the usb outlets around the cottage, as it made for easy charging. Loved the hot tub! Loved having a kettle and teapot! Loved having pots and pans, oven baking sheets, and a fridge.

Beautiful shepherd hut. Bedding and towels were provided and were great quality and very pretty. The shower was wonderful and the fact we had a fridge there was a lifesaver as the weather was 38C! Close enough to Royal Welsh Show to travel in daily. May be difficult to get up the steps and also on to the bed if you have limited mobility but I use a stick and managed it. Highly recommend

The cottage is beautiful, the location (and the view) is out of this world, the hot tub was lush, and the welcome basket was a lovely wee touch. Adam and Laura were wonderful hosts, very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We loved our stay at Pant Y Rhedyn, and were sad to leave. We would definitely love to come back some time.
