The Littondale is in the middle of what you would expect among the Yorkshire Dales: lonely and barren at first sight, varied and diverse nature at second. The hosts of this B&B are low-key, but very nice and helpful. The great breakfast, individually prepared, including homemade jam, deserves special mention. Not to forget: diagonally opposite is the cosy Queens Arms Inn, where we had the best meals of our holiday in England.

Thank you to all the staff at the Queens Arms, Litton, for our wonderful four night stay. This quiet, welcoming inn felt a true home from home for us. Every need was catered for, the food was outstanding and the cosy room had all we wanted. Top marks too to the brewers at Lamb Brewery behind the building- the Elderflower ale is a must try. In finding the Queens Arms, we feel that we've struck gold and very much look forward to returning in the future.
